Eleni Pentara was born in Paphos, Cyprus. She is a creator and director, writing and directing her own work for the performing arts, working through physical theatre, clown and post-dramatic form. Sound is often where a piece begins. She studied Stage Direction at RESAD, Madrid, and was assistant director and floor manager at the Berlin Opera Academy in 2023. She is currently training in storyboarding and 2D animation.
Pura y Santa won the Short Stage Prize at the Teatro Exprés competition, Salón del Teatro, in 2021, and was given a dramaturgical reading at the Centro Dramático Nacional — Teatro Valle-Inclán, Madrid. Cyborg-phagy (2023) worked towards a new ending and a new movement — gender-neutral, built on equality — using clown technique as its method. Ulises Agreste (2024) grew out of six months of research into the figure of the Cyclops. Metamorfosi della Terra (2025), from her own text, is an existential piece about a woman who talks to a mouse, wants to change her life, and becomes obsessed with a tree. The production investigated the presence of the camera on stage. It was selected for the Imparables Festival at NAVE 73, Madrid. Sauna (2026) was a research into text and physical theatre together — an expressionist interpretation. It was her graduation production at RESAD, Madrid.
